How do you get your students to talk more in math class? What about the students that like to work independently, how can we get them to help their teammates without giving the answers? How can we build confidence in students who just don’t feel they are good at math?

Join me in this session to discuss math motivation and teacher moves to get students not only talking about math but feeling confident in their math abilities.
Teachers will analyze:
  • A variety of activities with student samples to build academic language and motivation.
  • Activities on questioning from low stakes to gathering data to adjust instruction the day.

Applicability:
Grade level: All grades
Content: All contents: (but data and samples geared towards Math)
Level: Beginner to Expert
(Teachers will have access on how to set up their lessons for beginning teachers up to gathering data for veteran teachers to immediately adjust their lesson the day of.)
