Are you struggling to support students analyze multiple documents? Do students blindly assume that a document is credible just because you gave it to them? In this session, teachers will learn how to push students to critically evaluate multiple accounts of the same historical narrative.

In this workshop, participants will
**Recognize the value of presenting multiple narratives of a single historical account.
**Practice strategies to analyze word choice in order to evaluate the purpose and message of a given narrative.
**Apply one or more of these strategies to their own classrooms

Applicability:
Ideal for History teachers, also applicable for English teachers
Middle school or high school
