Are you looking to integrate more academic discourse into your classroom? Do you want a specific structure to help facilitate discussion?  How about a Fishbowl?!

The Fishbowl technique allows for a richer discussion of any given topic, and it frequently helps build community by focusing attention on the ways that particular group might work together more productively.
In this session, teachers will learn about and participate in a Fishbowl discussion and have an opportunity to begin planning their own Fishbowl activity in a current or upcoming unit.

Session Objectives:
  • Participate in a Fishbowl Discussion
  • Identify an opportunity to integrate Fishbowl strategy into current / next unit
  • Use resources to plan out your next Fishbowl
